Lui’s Letter

Our team has entered 2017 at light speed! We’re gearing up for Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April, which is right around the corner! Between our marketing efforts, upcoming events, and education initiatives, we are raising awareness and working to prevent violence in Central Florida.

We are launching our 2017 billboard campaign at the end of February, a Lynx Bus campaign in Spanish in Osceola County, and are in the process of making several new PSA’s featuring survivors of crime. It is our hope that these efforts will not only reach individuals needing help, but also change our culture and promote a zero-tolerance attitude towards violence.

Our 4th Annual Gala, Cheers to Change, is just two months away and will be held at the Orlando Museum of Art on April 7th, 2017. It will be the biggest and best yet so you definitely don’t want to miss out! We are also gearing up for Denim Day on Wednesday, April 26th and are asking our community to wear jeans to raise awareness for victims of sexual violence. Be on the lookout for more details coming very soon!

While we are best known for responding to crisis situations and helping our clients heal from trauma, we are also working to prevent violence through education in our community. We’ve launched our #BeTheHero campaign which educates high school and college-aged students on how to be an active bystander and safely intervene to prevent sexual violence.

If you’d like to learn more or get involved, please reach out! We’d love to hear from you.

As always, thank you for your ongoing support.

With sincere gratitude,

Lui Damiani
