Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention for First Responders
Duration: 1.5 hours
Certified Through: FL Board of Nursing
Schedule: Every 1st Thursday at 8 PM EST | Virtual Live Session
Participants will learn to define and recognize sexual violence, understand its cultural and systemic roots, debunk misconceptions, and learn about the FRIES consent framework. The training also covers the neurobiology of trauma, safety planning, how to respond to disclosures, and VSC resources.
Assisting Patients in the ED Who Have Experienced Victimization
Duration: 1.5 hours
Certified Through: FL Board of Nursing
Schedule: Every 2nd Thursday at 8 PM EST | Virtual Live Session
Aimed at healthcare providers, this session focuses on trauma-informed care for victims of violence in emergency settings. Participants will learn statistics and misconceptions about sexual violence and domestic violence, understand how trauma may present in patients, and learn tactics for screening and responding to these patients. Additionally, participants will learn how to provide immediate support, connect them to specialized services, and maintain confidentiality/protection laws for victims.
Foundations of Healthy Relationships
Duration: 1.5 hours

Schedule: Every 3rd Thursday at 8 PM EST | Virtual Live Session
This training introduces participants to the foundations of healthy relationships. Participants will dive deeper into the dynamics of strong relationships, focusing on the "love bucket," the 8 universal needs of individuals, and the core elements of healthy relationships. Using interactive scenarios, participants will explore the differences between healthy, unhealthy, and abusive relationships. The session also highlights communication strategies, boundary-setting, and ways to support peers in challenging situations.
